These work with the Gridfinity Bin with Printable Label by Pred (parametric)
I've made a number of changes from the original, but I'm also including the fusion file if you want to make changes or generate your own. I will also generate any other versions/sizes by request.
For now, I'm uploading M2, M2.5 and M3 Socket, Button and Flat in various lengths from 4 to 30. Over 30 becomes a space problem.
With that said, here are my changes:
- I removed the top down view of the screw head. It takes up a lot of space and it's very hard to get it to print clearly enough to be distinguishable between socket and button. I would like to try with a 0.25 nozzle at some point, at which point it could plausibly come back to the left of the text if it prints clearly enough.
- Added Button and Flat types. Will add more on request.
- The length of the screw pictured is always the length stated. So you can use it to measure. This works up to 30mm in length, after which there isn't enough room. The diameter (M2, 3, etc) is not reflected in the picture because it would become unwieldy pretty quickly.
- The fusion file is largely parametric. There is a python script included which will generate the complete set for you, so you don't have to do it manually. You'll need to add it to the add-ins/scripts section. If you edit the script, you'll find the parameters you can modify. Then go to add-ins → Scripts and run “ExportM3Bodies”. Don't change the text on the Sketch. The script uses those to identify where to place the values for each loop. Obviously if you're not using the script, you can change them.
For printing, I recommend 0.2 layer height so you make sure you get 2 layers on the text/image. I had better results setting External perimeter speed to 20. I also enabled ironing for the top surface only and that seems quite nice.
Obviously set up for a color change in the slicer for the top 2 layers for the best look.
