Summary

This modular ramp allows robotic vacuum cleaners to easily overcome door thresholds and small height differences. The individual segments can be flexibly combined to achieve different widths.

Key facts

  • For overcoming door thresholds – modular, stable, durable
  • Height-adjustable (only Z scale!) for precise adjustment to your door threshold!
  • Non-slip surface for secure traction
  • Sturdy construction for long-lasting use
  • Easy assembly without special tools
  • Adjustable to fit various door threshold widths

Print

  • Filament: PLA or PETG (PETG is recommended due to higher impact resistance)
  • Layer Height: 0.2 mm for smoother surface to 0.3mm for rougher surface (to ensure that the wheels of the robot vacuum cleaner have enough grip)
  • Perimeters/Walls: 3
  • Top/Bottom Layers: 6
  • Infill: 20 % (Grid or Gyroid pattern for strong load-bearing)
  • Supports: Not required

Module combinations

Always print and combine at least 3 parts:

End Left (65 mm) – Left (190 mm) – End Right (65 mm) = minimum ramp width is 32 cm.

Other combinations:

  • 56 cm = End Left (65 mm) + left (190 mm) + straight (240 mm) + End Right (65 mm)
  • 75 cm = End Left (65 mm) + left (240 mm) + straight (190 mm) + straight (190 mm) + End Right (65 mm)

Add "straight" parts in combination with one left part to extend the ramp width to fit your needs.

Installation

For installation, use double‑sided tape on smooth floors or the rough side of hook‑and‑loop (Velcro) tape on carpeted floors. Both have held very firmly and securely for me for over a year.

The author remixed this model.

Differences of the remix compared to the original

  • angle of inclination changed
  • added “L” under left parts
  • additional lengths added
