I've been struggling to source reasonably priced wedge bolts which have a large enough wedge to prevent the hangers from dropping off the end when tossed around in a bag. This is extremely inconvenient when bolting on lead.
This model is for a threaded, reusable holder to prevent the hanger from falling off (or moving around at all), making the bolts ready to install from your bag. It includes a pull-pin style design to remove the holder with a hard pull after hammering in the bolt most of the way. (Leave a little bit of slack otherwise its hard to remove! Can clip a carabiner to make it easier but take care as you might break the holder)
I print with PETG (need a bit of flex for the clip) at 0.20mm layer height, 15% infill, with supports for the pull-pin. You can skip the supports if your printer does really well with overhangs, or if you don't care about a bit of drooping at the top of the ring.
The author marked this model as their own original creation.
