This is meant to cover holes from a previous faucet. Namely, the 4-inch standard width holes on many faucets.
I printed this in TPU, mostly so that I could tighten the nut under the faucet safely, knowing it would be water tight (for the center hole). It could probably also be done in PLA or ABS, but it doesn't "stick" as well to the surface like a normal gasket-style cover would.
You could print TWO of these, one TPU, one PLA, and sit them on top of one another, which would help the TPU to be tight across the entire structure. Honestly, my wife just wanted the holes covered, so I haven't tested that.
I used to have a little all-in-one faucet, and my vanity had 3 holes in it. I recently switched to a 3 separate units style faucet (Hot, Faucet, Cold) and realized my mistake. These stupid covers go for $25. No thanks.
