Fully 3D printed Gantry for the SV08 MAX 

Note you can use this also with the stock motors but you will not put the extra bearings to support the shaft!

This is the double shear variant of the SV08 MAX 
Front-access belt tensioning for the AB motors (Voron-style)
Easier setup & maintenance with more travel for fine alignment
Redesigned XY joints to align pulleys with the front idlers
Improved belt path parallelism → better tracking & accuracy
More tensioning travel → faster, repeatable alignment
Double-shear support version for extra rigidity

• M3: x8, x10, x25, x30, x40

• Idler pulleys USE Reuse stock!  or this is a good candidate
• REPLACEMNET PULLEYS DIRECT FIT BETTER QUALLITY 
• GE5C bearing + M5 washer (for Z holder integration) 
• Belts 
• Existing SV08 belts & pulleys can be reused

Tip: Don’t overtighten pulley screws—keep them snug and spinning freely.

  the Assembly manual is from the SV08 Gantry V2 this is the same but it has the cable chain mounts and the double shear support for the motors. 

🖨 Print Settings (Recommended)

• Material: ABS  Polymaker Aff Link 
• Perimeters: 4–5
• Infill: 20–30% (Gyroid/Cubic)
• Layer height: 0.2 mm
• Walls & holes tolerance: enable horizontal expansion if needed

Heat-set inserts: install with a soldering iron & alignment jig if available

📝 Print Note – AB Motor Lower Part

⚠ Many users of the previous version had problems here due to incorrect supports.

Do NOT use “Tree Supports” unless you leave a big gap — with just 1–2 layers of support, they don’t work well for this part.

Instead, use Grid Supports (auto-generated) as shown in the preview example.

No extra custom settings are needed — just let the slicer generate grid supports.

✅ This ensures proper bridging around the motor mount holes and avoids weak or messy overhangs.
