Jysk Nederby Chair Felt Pad Holders

Padded feet for Jysk Nederby chairs.

A washer is integrated into the print to spread the weight of the hollow-ended chair leg and prevent it from destroying the structure.

!! Make sure your washer fits perfectly and does not stick out before continuing or your printer might be damaged !!

The prepared models come configured for:

• Felt pads: 20 mm diameter, ~10 mm thickness
• Washers: 20 mm outer, 10 mm inner diameter, 2 mm thickness

However, you can easily adapt anything by tweaking the parameter values in the FreeCAD file.

• Configure a pause right before the solid layer, e.g., via manual color change at the solid layer (see screenshot).
  • This is the point when the washer is inserted into the print.
  • Make sure your washer fits perfectly and does not stick out before continuing or your printer might be damaged!
  • Try not to touch the top layer of the print at this point because it might impact the stability. E.g., use clean, grease-free gloves.
• The solid layer is necessary to support above structures during the printing process.
  • In Prusa Slicer, you can enable Detect bridging perimeters to make sure the solid layer above the washer is printed correctly.
• If you print with a low resolution like I did (0.28 mm), in Prusa Slicer you can apply Variable layer height to improve the quality of the topmost area.
