This is a modular ratchet socket holder. It consists of a base, 9 springs that hold the ratchet sockets and a locking pin. If a spring breaks you can replace it individually without having to print another holder. The ratchet sockets click onto the springs and don't release accidentally even when shaken upside down. I've used this design myself for months to test it and the springs have held up perfectly, even when throwing it into my backpack without a pouch.
No supports are needed. The springs should printed with PETG or another flexible material. I tested the design to work for Prusament PETG. The base can be any material. I used Prusament PLA and painted it with white enamel paint for plastic models.
For the locking pin I recommend a 2.5mm knitting needle. In the US that size technically doesn't exist although it is sometimes sold as a “1.5”. You need to pull the needle out to replace springs so if you buy one without a stop at the end like I did you can simply bend it into an L-shape. Cut off the pointy end of the pin so it doesn't stick out of the bottom of the holder. (The holder is 15.5 cm long)
