Maximera Gridfinity Bins (w/ STEP file)

These bins have the perfect shape that nestle in the IKEA Maximera drawer's sloped wall. This version fits best if the Gridfinity baseplate is up against the curved part of the drawer. These drawers are used in the METHOD and SEKTION kitchen cabinets. 

I made these for the 18" Maximera drawers sold by IKEA in the US but this works on any Maximera drawer as longs as the Gridfinity baseplate is up against the drawer side wall like in the pictures shown.

The inside dimension of the drawer base of the 18" Maximera is 335mm wide by 504mm deep. I printed 4x4 Gridfitnity baseplates and they fit perfectly (with no gaps) since my Prusa MINI is printing 0.5mm short over 180mm prints!!

Step file has parameters for the number of grid units (rows and columns) and you can generate your own bins. The height is also parametric. Due to the slopped walls, these bins are not stackable.

The .step file also lets you change the grid size and add more space on the same side as the sloped wall. This is useful for drawer sizes that would leave a gap on the side of the drawer.

You can use Grifinity Generator to create a base plate with additional space on the sides.

Make sure to print the bins with a spacer with support.

Changed one of the side walls to fit the slope of the Maximera drawers
