Because I lost the hand crank for my BBQ fan I made a replacement part.

It can also be used in all cases where a crank with a 6x6mm² four cornered shaft is needed.

Edit 19.11.2016:

Added an arm model with 5x6mm² pin on request of usernameisalreadytaken.

Print Settings

Printer:

Rafts:

No

Supports:

No

Resolution:

0.20mm

Infill:

100%

Notes:

If possible use circular external fill in your print settings to improve the stability of the parts.

The 100% infill is necessary to make a strong connection from the arm to the four cornered shaft on it. With less infill the shaft will only be connected over the upper layers of the arm to the instable infill. This connection would break with minimal force.

Post-Printing

Put the axle in the right direction through the arm and fix it with some super glue. Take care of a right angle of the axis to the arm.

Then shift the handle over the axle, give some drops super glue to the lock and press it into the axles end. Watch that no glue comes to the area contacting the handle. Otherwise the handle will be fixed and can't rotate.
