A lighter version of this is my new SM-33 Edition version - my new favorite! And also magnetic (SUPER easy nozzle swaps and jam/extruder maintenance). 

Initially, I removed the top vent overhang on the top angled face to try and print on that face… I ran into other support issues doing that. 

Due to SE3D text getting messed up/butchered by my update, I cleaned it up and added the infinity symbol.

Turned out to be a lighter model (about 8g lighter for ASA) and helps with PET-GF, the (more dense) material I chose to print it out of. 

WHY:

First of all, in general, a lightened tool head cover reduces toolhead mass and inertia, which can improve VFAs and printing speeds after you re-run input shaping (MANDATORY). 

Print settings:

I used 1 wall for both pieces EXCEPT I added modifiers (right click on object —> Add Modifier) to the pins for more infill. I also added a support blocker cube (same menu) for the strain relief - it doesn’t need them. Layer height doesn’t matter, 0.2 is fine. I also iron all top surfaces with 30% flow. Printed in ASA this came out to around 40g. I also tried PET-GF - but that is around 51g, for the raw cover weights.

Notes

This is a hackjob (literally hacked the top off), but the model is sound. Print with confidence, face down is fine! Just be careful with the dovetails as SE3D mentioned.
