This is a compact sizing tool for use in the VEX IQ Robotics Competition.
This video demonstrates how to use the tool: https://youtu.be/jI0B2tczbRM
For one tool, print 8 straight walls, 2 end walls, and 1 height tool. #8-32 screws and heat set inserts (example) are used to attach the walls to 2 VEX IQ field tiles in the locations shown in the images. The height tool is completed with 1 2x16 and 2 2x20 VEX IQ beams, plus pins to hold them together.
The walls can be printed without supports; the height tool does require some support as shown in the images.
As with all sizing tools, best practice is to double-check the dimensions of a tool with a measuring tape before each tournament. It's no fun to fail a robot for being a little too big, only to later learn your sizing tool was too small.
