The slot is designed to fit a 10 (euro) cent coin, with quite some tolerance. You can either print the slot using basic supports or use the “pause at height” feature of the PrusaSlicer.

  • When using supports for the slot, just remove them afterwards. The tolerance should allow the coin to still fit in just right. To add support only to the coin slot, you can use the PrusaSlicer's paint-on support feature.
  • When using the pause, I recommend adding some glue to keep the coin in place. Otherwise, it might be too loose. I used a plastic glue which turned out not sticking to the coin, yet making it fit tighter due to the extra material (good option in case you might be in dire need of those 10 cent one day)
    • Use glue at your own risk! Be careful when applying glue while the print is on the printbed!

However, the head needs support. I used MeshMixer to add tree supports. I have also uploaded an STL with the supports. Just be aware I did not test how well this very version prints. The one I printed had thinner supports which unfortunately detached from the print bed. So I made the supports thicker on the uploaded version, but did not give it another print. You can use the basic supports as well, again using the paint-on support feature.

The tail prints just well enough without extra supports, unless you want it to look perfect on the bottom. The paws also do not need support.

I printed with PLA (Prusament, Galaxy Black), 4 perimeters for stability, 60% infill and a brim. I chose PLA because I think its stiffness might make it more suitable for opening bottles. But I believe PETG would work as well.

(Unfortunately after printing) I got the idea to use the PrusaSlicer's Fuzzy Skin feature to make the panther look furry. If you do this with your print, please post a make!

In case you need help using the mentioned PrusaSlicer features, here are the articles about them:

I am not uploading my gcode because - as i mentioned - the supports were too thin and detached during the print. I also do not want to post a gcode of the improved version without having printed it myself.

I used the “jumping tiger” as a base for sculpting, so I marked my model as a remix of it. I reworked the head entirely, made some changes to the legs and the tail and some adjustments to the body.
