Have an oddly shaped rail? Run a laser and just want your light as close as possible? Put your light on a rotating mount.

This was such an ingenious idea from Surefire I was honestly suprised the aftermarket hadn't come up with one sooner. Following suit though, I have seen a couple of manufacturers create mounts like this one, adapting a standard scout pattern light to mount to a pro style rotating base.

Print with the rotation axles on the build plate, supporting the inside of the hardware recesses, lower scout recoil lug and MLOK lugs. Reference the screen capture.

I patterned the MLOK mounting on this hardware kit - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0D1CPJWF6?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title - which is conveniently the same one used in my other recent MLOK designs. The footprint of the MLOK base also fits nicely alongside the MLOK Blank panels I designed.

The rotation axle is comprised of an M4x40mm socket head bolt and nut. The scout bottom bolts I had from another aftermarket mount.

After assembling, tighten the M4 bolt to the level of tension you prefer either before or after you rotate it into place. I found that with enough tension it was actually quite difficult to rotate and loosened it some to adjust it.
