I wanted to make a compact setup for a drone controller that I could throw into a backpack without worrying about too much, but I also wanted 900 mhz capability for long range flying. This is what I've come up with and after traveling around with it for a few weeks I'm pretty happy with it. Every single loose piece is retained so there's nothing to lose both while it is in storage and in the use configuration. The antenna protector keeps the sma connector safe while in a bag and when you want to attach the antennas it safely stores into the 3.5 jack on either the top or bottom of the controller to keep it on the controller and out of the way. Although not required I removed the Pocket's included antenna to remove some bulk in the setup. The plug is included to fill the hole left behind after removing said antenna. Remember to not ever power up a module without an antenna connected! You can either simply unplug the internal module or you can attach a small antenna internally like I did. Finally the antenna holders, I don't expect many people to make this because of this part but I couldn't think of a better way to mount them other than drilling and tapping the aluminum side of the nomad to accept m2 screws that are then loctited in place to prevent them from backing out. Overall I'm really happy with how this came out and I hope someone out there finds it useful!
