The Prusa MINI, we know it, we love it, we want to upgrade it!
Then along comes the E3D Revo mod https://www.prusaprinters.org/prints/117149-prusa-mini-upgrade-e3d-revo-micro
and our hopes are saved!!
But if you don’t want to cut your stock PTFE what do you do??
Easy!! Download this MM10 mod print it out and replace a single part of the extruder setup and you’re good to go!
This modification replaces the brass fitting from Prusa with a standard off the shelf PC4-M10 fitting (such as ones from WhamBam or Captubes) it needs to be the passthrough m10 style to allow the PTFE to go in all the way.
Then you just cut some more PTFE tubing of your choice and voila! Ready to print.
The stock PTFE measures approximately 275mm so using that number we need to add on for ours to ensure we have the right length for auto filament loads. Hot side takes 17mm, Extruder mod takes 28mm, total we need 320mm long Bowden tube.
Take care not to overtighten the fitting into the plastic or it WILL crack, finger tight with a very slight
snug from the included MINI wrench and you’re good to go!
Print settings:
Recommended materials: PETG, ABS, ASA, Nylon, PC blends, etc. are all good. NO PLA!
Print in orientation shown.
0.4mm nozzle, 0.2mm layer height
40% infill
4 perimeters (walls)
5 top/bottom layers
No brim needed
2 print files are attached for both MINI and MK3s
Happy modding!
