Being annoyed with the wear panniers cause on the rack of my bike I made theses parts to reduce the wear and the rattling that comes from a loose fit of pannier to rack. For long term use just using tape was impractical for me because I had to replace it way too often.
This two part design is made to fit Ortlieb panniers to ToutTerrain EX-rails (rack diameter 12.3 mm including 1 layer of anti scratch film) or a Tubus Logo (rack diameter 10.6mm). But by modifying the FreeCad file you can adapt it to your needs. The two parts are held in place with two zip-ties, the bulky part of which is supposed to sit on the flat part at the bottom.
All diameter reducing parts of the panniers should be removed since they have some play themselves and therefore also add rattle.
I found it best to print the parts standing upright because this results in the nicest surface and does not require supports.
I printed mine in black PETG and increased the perimeters so that the parts are basically at 100% infill.
ride safe!
