I have made this simple jig when building some cabinets for my workshop. These type of hinges are mounted quickly since there is no need to mill out a hole as found on euro-hinges.
How it works:
1. Mark the lines on the same height on the door and cabinet
2. Place the template flush with the edge of the material and align the line with the middle channel
→ The longer version (drill_jig_2) is to be used on doors, the shorter (drill_jig_1) on cabinets
3. If possible, clamp the template to the base material (not necessary)
4. Drill out the 3 mm diagonal holes using the template
Important: This version works the best with 15mm thick panels (±1 mm). For other dimensions, the second model should be modified.
The author marked this model as their own original creation.
