This drawer is for the purpose of storing small tools and parts that would otherwise clutter the table, bench, or desk the machine resides on.  See Ember's original design for more details on the models installation and use:  https://www.printables.com/model/722882-ender-3-pro-utility-drawer

I print both pieces as oriented in the STL's with supports “Touching Buildplate”.  The drawer pull on the face of the drawer will obviously need supports.  The 15mm throughway on the backside of the housing may bridge properly on some machines, but I used supports anyways to ensure it printed cleanly.  Both support pieces removed quite easily for me without any special considerations.

Installation of this model is simple.  Remove the two screws on the right side 40x40mm extrusion holding the stock display, or in my case, the power on/off switch, and the four screws holding the belt tensioner to the center extrusion.  Slide the drawer housing into the two v-slot grooves on the right side 40x40mm extrusion and the lower v-slot opening on the center extrusion.  Slide it fully into that opening until it stops at the connecting extrusion that runs left and right.  Reinstall the Y axis belt tensioner and display, or in my case, the power on/off switch, retension the Y axis belt, slide the drawer into the housing, and done!

I printed the drawer housing in black Kingroon PETG and drawer in Flashforge burnt titanium PLA to color match other mods my friend BrknArrw has on his Ender 3.  Since I don't own a classic Ender 3, I'll be installing this modification on BrknArrw's Ender 3 to ensure proper fit.  I did add the “fuzzy skin” filter to the exteriors of both parts to hide layer lines and to better match bottom layers printed on textured PEI build plates.  Not that it matters, but I printed the housing on my Tronxy XY-2 Pro while the drawer printed on my Sunlu T3.

I visited BrknArrw last month and brought with me the printed drawer and housing.  It installed properly and looked great, but unfortunately, the drawer would stop dead when it hit the retaining screw heads for the Y axis tensioner.  I've since lowered the drawer housing by 3mm's so the drawer will slide beneath those screw heads without interference.  The photo I've posted is of the new drawer housing but is yet to be installed on an actual Ender 3 classic.  BrknArrw will be coming my way next month for a visit and I'll hand the corrected print over to him then.  Having added the same 3mm offset to the drawer housing for my Ender 3 Pro's and verrifying that the change added no unforeseen consequences, I expect this will be the final iteration of the design.  Once BrknArrw has the new housing and has had the opportunity to install it, I'll add updated photo's with this model installed on his classic Ender 3.  If somebody beats us to the punch and post's a make of this before BrknArrw has a chance to install this, I'd be happy to repost images from makes with the models description.

Model origin

The author remixed this model.

Differences of the remix compared to the original

I made the drawer and housing 10mm's wider so that it would fit the original Creality Ender 3.  I reduced the backstop of the housing from 4mm's to 3mm's, which allowed me to extend the drawer's depth by 1mm.  Additionally, I dropped the drawer housing by 3mm's so the drawer would clear the screw heads of the Y axis tensioner without interference.
