Based on Zack Freeman's gridfinity system.
Uses M3 x 8 screws for the 3kg spool design, Uses M2 x 6 screws for 1kg spool design. and gridfinity 6x2mm magnets if you choose to use magnets. Uses a 3/4inch or 20mm rod for the middle. Or you can print the provided rod design.
Printer specs: needs at least 180mm x 160mm x 100mm build volume. If you are printing the axel stick then you should have a 250mm build plate.
I have a bunch of SunLu spools lying and I wanted to use them for something. They use the older refillable spool design, I have not tested it with the newer spool design, so proceed with caution if you try to use the newer spool.
1kg spool design: Can fit 9 1x1 bases. Superglue the 1kg spacer in the middle to shrink the hole diameter. Uses M2 x 6 screws. Fits 4 spools on the 306mm stick. Use 1 washer on each end and 1 in between each spool.
3kg spool design: can fit 6 2x2 bases. Superglue the 3kg spacer in the middle to shrink the hole diameter. Uses m3 x 8 screws. Fits 2 spools on the 306mm stick. Use 1 washer on each end and 2 in between the spools.
The author remixed this model.
Adapts the gridfinity system to work with sunLu spools as a carousel.
