I like Marci's Hypatia Crayford focuser, its great, but when I built mine I only noticed half way through building, it needed 2x brass bushings, which were £9 for 4 so pushed the project price up and would have delayed the build.
So I printed 2x PETG bushings, a similar size as the original brass ones and put simple m4/m5 washers I had lying around between the focuser knobs and the bushings and it seems pretty smooth once the tension is set right on the focuser bar.
Parts list,
2x printed PETG bushings, (could be PLA or ABS I suppose).
2x m4 or m5 washers to stop plastic rubbing in plastic.
Everything else required to Make Marci's Hypatia Crayford Focuser, except the brass bushing.
