45 degree micropipette and microelectrode holders for scanning electron microscopy imaging (SEM). Printed with conductive filament (Protopasta CB/PLA). The 45 degree allows for imaging both sideways and top view of the microelectrode if the SEM stage is tilted 45 degrees. The two views can achieved by rotating the tilted stage. The CB/PLA conductivity is very similar to carbon tapes used to mount SEM samples. Any issues with charging are mitigated by sputtering the sample on the holders prior to imaging, as usual.
Details on the stage can be found in the open access manuscript “3D printing scanning electron microscopy sample holders: A quick and cost effective alternative for custom holder fabrication”
