Disclaimer: Please be extra careful with mounting anything to bicycle forks. Test your installation to make sure that the saw can't swing into the wheel or otherwise cause a crash. You take responsibility for how you use this design.
This is a set of blocks that adapt the Samurai 270mm saw scabbard to fit onto your mountain bike fork. It also works with the 300mm and 330mm saws, but they stick down below the bicycle's hub on 29" forks.
Optionally it includes a magnetic latch that holds the saw in place using a bungie cord. A small caribiner can also be used and is probably more reliable.
I print these in PETG using 100% infill. They are small and light and don't take a lot of material.
To use these parts you need a few other things:
The upper mount replaces the belt mount on the scabbard and is installed using the original hardware.
You need a way to retain the saw in the scabbard. This design includes a magnetic latch that can be used for this purpose along with some 3mm bungie cord. Each magnetic latch block requires a 6x3mm round rare earth magnet, which is glued in place (make sure to get polarity correct). You need one block with a hole for the cord, and two blocks without – one is glued to the saw where the sticker was, and one is glued to a flat spot on the sabbard.
An alternative solution is to use a small caribiner with some cord or a cord lock and bungie. Photos for both solutions are included.
