Remember the MK3x-MK4S - frame hanger

Remember the MK3x-MK4S - frame hanger. “Never forget where you came from”. =)

After upgrading my first MK4S to Core One I did not want to throw the old MK3x/MK4S frame away, because these printers have been so reliable all the time. 
Except of some new fans which wore out after thousands of hours and one broken termistor cable I had not a single problem with them at all. This is what I call: quality product!

This model shown here in the pictures was originally bought in 2022. I got it as a MK3S+kit and upgraded it first to MK3.5, then MK4S and finally to the new Core One. This machine and 2 others worked so well, I simply can not throw all of these old parts away…

One of them is even older from 2019 started as a MK3S and was already upgraded to MK3S+, MK3.5, MK4S and will be upgraded to the Core One too. =)

I think these milestone creating machines should be remembered in a good way.

Of course the new Prusa Core One is way better in many ways and will be the future, but I don’t want to forget where these machines came from and keeping the frame on my wall might do the trick here to help with that. =)

Assembly after printing: 

• Press in 8x M3 nuts and 8x M5 nuts into the parts.
• Add the white parts to the frame with M3x16 and M5x16 screws.
• Add the print bed holder to the middle section of the frame too. 
• Screw the hangers to your wall with 4 dowels and 4 screws and hang up the frame. 
• Optional you can place the frame on your desk too for a more historical design. I will put mine to the wall later - Sunday is ”no drilling day”... ;-)

Printing instructions:

• 0.2 speed profile 
• No brim
• No supports
• Textured sheet used
• White PLA for the inner parts 
• Black PLA for the hanger parts
• Optional: Fuzzy skin used on the hanger parts
