Creality CFS Desiccant Tube System

The desiccant holders in the Creality CFS leave alot to be desired. So I decided to make my own system.

The Creality CFS desiccant setup leaves a whole lot to be desired. The packets that come with it are lame and single use. I tried making the desiccant holder that fits in those two slots, but in the end, only the top of the desiccant is exposed, and you have to manually stir it to rotate the contents. I had used some of the single filament desiccant holders in the past, and using that as a starting point, I created a 274mm long, 40mm round double end capped unit. I went with 40mm so that you could slide this in from either side without having to lift or mess with the spools. It works with different size spools in the CFS as well. It always rests on at least one, so it gets rotated whenever that spool is used, mixing things up a little, but the desiccant is exposed on all sides, and there are small dividers inside the tube to keep the desiccant from bunching up. I fill the tube with about ¾ full of that reusable desiccant (blue dry pink wet) and it drops the humidity in my CFS from 35 to 20 in less then an hour. And its good for 2 weeks to a month, depending on your humidity and how often you open the CFS for changes. All you need to remember is to slide it out when changing spools and slide it back in before you close the lid. I have been using my test models for 2 months now and they work great, so I decided to finally post them for folks to use. Note: I do use an inner and outer brim on it to make sure it holds to the plate, and use 100% infill 6 walls. It comes off easy. I hope they work as well for you as they have for me. Oh, and greetings from North Pole Alaska!
