I switched to a CANbus umbilical setup and wasn't happy with my initial solution of sending the umbilical cable through the bottom deck, so I came up with this. The strain relief is meant for the USB cable going to a Beacon eddy current surface probe. You could modify the rear exhaust filter housing to let the cables exit through it, or you can get rid of it entirely and replace it with a new fanless rear box, as I did.
The holes are sized for M3 heatset inserts. (4-40 will also work)
The 4 pin connector is an Amphenol PT02A-8-4S-ND. This is a military style connector that certainly isn't the most economical choice if you had to buy it, but when you have an excess of them in your collection of random prototyping parts at work, it suddenly becomes the most economical choice…
The mating connector is an Amphenol PT06A-8-4P(SR)
The strain relief is a PG9 thread, similar to a McMaster-Carr 69915K22
The bowden tube connector is the same BSP thread one that is part of a normal Voron BOM. The threads are modeled, and they turned out fine in my case; the connector was able to thread in with relative ease.
The author marked this model as their own original creation.
