The FLP-02 Booster, a double plunger pull-to-prime Nerf pistol, now has the ability to load Silly Shells for some serious double-barrel shotgun fun. The assembly of the blaster is the same as the base model, then install the 016 o-rings with a couple of drops of CA glue in the same fashion as other Silly Shell-based models. Afterwards, you then start installing the barrel assembly using the M3x55mm bolt to connect the barrel assembly with the shell lock sears, finally securing the other side with the M3 nut much like assembling the Goblin's barrel.

The barrel assembly has been simplified with the shell lock ejector recesses. There doesn't appear to be any issues using the simpler square recess. The same ejector and sear pieces from the FLP-07 remix have been used.

The barrel latch assembly can either use a compression or a torsion spring. Both designs have been provided. Pictured is a leftover torsion spring that's used for the catch from an Air Zone Triple Shot, however an 0.8mm wire diameter with an OD of 7mm with 6 loops at 120° will also work (you'll need to trim the spring to make it fit in the latch). Depending on the direction of the torsion spring you source, you may need to mirror the prints of the latch, latch spacer, and front-end assemblies. The compression spring version uses a 5.5mm diameter hole, suitable for 5mm diameter springs. Any smaller diameter springs may dislodge during use. A 25mm length has been listed, though you'll need to cut it down to the ideal length.

Printing with a 0.15 height or less is recommended with the barrel housing and the shell lock ejectors for smoother insertion of shells.

Please note: The remix is based off the metric files of the original blaster. The only notable differences are the screw hole openings being larger, which shouldn't affect those using imperial hardware.

Additional Materials Required:
  • 2x M4x25mm or equivalent imperial machine screws/bolts (for the front muzzle assembly)
  • 1x M3x55mm hex-head bolt/screw
  • 1x M3 nut
  • 1x M3x35mm hex-head bolt/screw (for the barrel latch assembly)
  • 1x 0.5mm wire diameter 5x25mm compression spring OR 1x 0.8mm wire diameter 7mm OD with 3 loops at 120° torsion spring
  • 2x 0.6mm wire diameter 6x30mm compression springs (for the shell ejectors) - you may need to cut them down slightly by about 1.0-1.5mm to make them work
  • 2x 0.4mm wire diameter 4x10mm compression springs (for the shell lock barrel sears)
  • 2x dash 016 o-rings

Disclaimer: This is not a toy. This blaster and its associated parts are meant for hobbyists, not children. Blaster must be operated correctly to avoid injury. Edit History

  • 23/08/25 Added another picture of the torsion spring setup of the barrel latch, showing both the spring cuts made and the rounding off to prevent cuts and snagging.

Differences of the remix compared to the original

The base FLP-02 Booster model is used. The shell lock mechanism and the barrel hinge dimensions from the FLP-07 Goblin and its remix are utilised.
