It’s my Reddit cake day, and I’m finally sharing something I’ve been using for almost a year: my custom-designed, reusable TPU cable ties.
After trying dozens of designs, none of them quite hit the mark. I wanted a cable tie that:
stays on the cable when not in use
locks securely but is easy to release
prints fast with minimal filament, and
works with flexible filament like TPU
So I designed one from scratch — and after a year of use across USB, HDMI, UTP, and power cables, this design has proven itself.
FEATURES:
Stay-on loop: Attach it once to the cable and it stays with it
Angled locking tab: Slides in easily, holds tight, but still releases smoothly
Flexible & efficient: Works great with TPU; small version uses just 1.22g filament
No supports or brim needed
