Description

PDF

I needed a filament cutter and every one I found needed springs or bolts. I didn't have any so I designed my own cutter.

PETG, 0.2mm layers, 15% infill, no supports

Print the spring 2x, everything else 1x.

Assembly:

  1. Firmly push springs into base with the pins on the top pointing inward
  2. Take an 18mm blade, orient it as depicted on the holder side, and carefully push it all the way into the holder (use pliers)
  3. Insert the blade holder into base with springs (orientation doesn't matter; you'll need to bend top of the springs outward)
  4. Push the springs into blade holder

Disassembly:

  1. Use a flat tool to pry springs from the blade holder
  2. Bend top of the springs and remove the blade holder
  3. Insert a flat tool between base and each spring and push the it toward middle of the base
  4. Pull the blade out of blade holder with pliers
