Bear Spray Holder

Overview

Riding a bike in the mountains can be fun.  In some parts of the world there are bears, so carrying bear spray is a really good idea. BUT - you need to be able to get at your bear spray quickly!

This design evolved over a couple of seasons.  It mounts to the top tube of the bike, is easily and quickly accessed and requires only 1/8 turn to remove.  It is self locking and will not come loose in normal situations …. maybe in a crash :-(

The base is held to the top tube of the bike by velcro and the bear spray can is held to the holder by velcro.

PETG is the preferred filament either normal or carbon impregnated.

The holder should be printed with the curved section facing the build plate.

The base should be printed with the flat side on the build plate.

For strength 70% infill is suggested.

For best results both pieces should be printed with supports everywhere.  Be sure to carefully clean out the supports where the velcro straps slide through.
