In this dark hour in the history of our nation (unless you're not American, in which case, good for you), we need strong role models to inspire us to fight to save our future, and who better than the first man to put solar panels on the White House, Mr. “Wear-a-sweater”, the survivor of the rabbit, and the genius behind the Camp David accords, James Earl Carter!

In all seriousness, I feel like many of the domestic economic crises of the Carter era were less the fault of Carter himself and more the culmination of severe mismanagement by multiple administrations and large corporations of the US economy after World War II. I think that the US overcoming these crises was less a product of any skill on the part of Ronald Regan and moreso the result of the passage of time, and that if we had re-elected Carter, his economic and social policies might have been better in the long-term.

But this is Printables, so why am I ranting about politics! I'm sure you just want to get printing.

WARNING: I think this print may have killed the real thing - I printed one as a Christmas gift for a family member, and he died several days later. Coincidence? I think not!

I printed this on a Creality Ender 3 Pro, but should work on any darn FDM (and probably resin) at almost any side. These were my Cura settings (probably):

  • 5%-ish infill
  • PLA filament
  • No supports
  • Probably had a raft or something

Note: For the license, I just put CC-NC because this probably shouldn't be used commercially because the base model is probably still under copyright.

Model origin

The author remixed this model.

Differences of the remix compared to the original

I used browser development tools to download the model, and then used Blender to extract the bust and prepare the geometry for 3D printing.
