Transform TheCube’s flat top into a limitless building zone. TheCube Lego Base Topper is a precision-sized plate whose standard-pitch studs let you snap on bricks, minifigs, sensors, or whimsical micro-scenes without tools or adhesives—perfect for personalizing your desk companion or prototyping add-ons. A gently radiused skirt mirrors TheCube’s aesthetic, while underside alignment nubs ensure a wobble-free fit to the stock top plate. Fits atop any Cube format.

Print parameters

Tip: For maximum stud fidelity, print the top surface facing upward and enable horizontal expansion compensation of ≈ -0.05 mm if your printer tends to oversize pegs.

Post-processing & assembly

Add Magnets and glue them in place with super glue. We use 12mm x 2mm magnets. There's also room for a mini NFC tag so TheCube knows there's topper there. (You'll have to program the NFC tag. See our Github: https://github.com/Companion-TheCube.)

Glue together the two pieces with super glue. We clamp ours together while the glue dries.

Deburr studs with a light pass of fine-grit sandpaper if needed.

Test clutch using a sacrificial 2×4 brick; adjust with gentle heat if studs are overly tight.
