I've found this grid nursery here on Thingiverse so I decided to design a Greenhouse to go on top of it. The original design has a removable bottom and press to create the pods using my own living soil. I found it very handy! check it out> https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2962795
I Designed the greenhouse to be made with 2 sheets of A4 Acetate, which can be found at any staples or similar stores.
The main panel is a full A4 sheet lenght (298mm) by 160mm, cut it to 158 to make your life a little easier.
The side panels can be traced with the provided template and cut with scissors.
After carefully placing the acetate, glue it in place with a couple drops of super glue.
Side panels are suposed to only be glued in place. Main panel has a slit cut for it in each arch.
On the Hinges I've used a thick paperclip (Ø1,5mm) for the shaft. Heat the paperclip with a lighter and insert through the base with the arches already in place.
The stretcher snap in place and also act as a spacer for the arches.
You could even scale any seedling starter to the greenhouse, just make the parts 127mm square.
I could not decide on how much airflow I should leave, so I created the vents on the base and left the acetate sheets without holes. Even though there's plenty of small gaps around the assembly.
Have fun with it!
Its not perfect, but its functional, and looks better than solo cups.
