I can’t really come up with a good scenario for why you would want to swap sides with the stock Ender 3 extruder (weight balance maybe?) but if you have the dual-z upgrade installed, this will let you do it. this was designed for my own IDEX build, and based loosely off a kit that BTT used to sell.
BOM:
4 M3 x 5mm L x 5mm OD Heat SetThreaded Inserts
4 M3 x 8 Cap-Head Screws
4 M3 Lock Washers
I printed mine in PETG, four walls and 30% infill;I designed this to print without supports, sacrificial bridging will need to be removed prior to assembly. The stepper cradle is designed to slide up and down for an easier install; I would recommend installing the stepper and extruder after you’ve installed and tightened down the bracket on the X-axis.
The author remixed this model.
