Ink Bottle Box with Aztec Calendar Medallion

This box can be used for small 15ml bottles, approximately 32mm in diameter. A recess in the lid can be filled with the fancy Aztec calendar provided, or you can provide your own 98mm or smaller medallion, or fill with your own art, or even leave it blank if you prefer.

Print the box part upright. Print the lid upside down, with support for the recessed area.

I used a special technique to gently dome my medallion. First, I printed the medallion in PLA. I applied UV-cure clear resin to the top surface until it was smooth. I cured it with a UV flashlight. When it was fully cured, I placed the medallion on a 100ºC heatbed for a few minutes. The PLA began to shrink, but the UV resin on the top didn't shrink, and so the part naturally cupped. Since the diameter was slightly smaller after this treatment, I centered it as well as possible in the lid recess, then filled the outer edge to fill the gap and hold it in place. I'm really satisfied how well this work, and it looks very polished.
