Update 11/2025:
Updated the brace so it does not interfere with the Cartographer connector. Also made a few more cable management cutouts for more routing options.
I was having a hard time getting consistent results from my Carto/Beacon scanners during QGLs and adaptive meshes. After looking closely and doing some trial and error testing, I found that the Beacon USB cable was pushing/pulling on the Beacon board. Even the slightest movement here has a huge effect on measurements.
I added a brace closer to the connector to help stabilize the board. So far I have had no issues, my QGL completes in no more than 3 passes, and first layers have been consistent and beautiful every time.
I also removed some material near the X endstop mount to allow for better cable routing to the front of the gantry.
BOM:
2 M3x4x5 (Voron Standard) heatsets for the Beacon mount
Print with a high temp material, ABS/ASA or better. I printed in PC-CF at 100% infill, probably overkill. Support may be necessary for the connecting stabilizer bar, I didn't and it came out alright but I have my profile dialed in.
The author remixed this model.
Added support near cable connector, removed material near endstop mount to improve cable management.
