Please read the print instructions below before printing.

A stylish and customizable magnetic tea bag dispenser.
It's NOT made to directly put it on metal surfaces, but to be used with the included wall mount, which itself is mounted to the surface with double sided tape.

The provided 3mf and STL files are made for tea bags up to 74 x 64 mm which seems to be a quite common size in my area. If you need another size you can easily customize it in Fusion 360 (s. below).

The magnets I used are 10 x 2.8 mm (you will need four for each dispenser). They seem to be strong enough, but make sure you get good ones (N52). If you customize the holder in F360 to be used with larger tea bags or make it taller, consider to also use larger magnets to be on the safe side. In any case I recommend to do a test print first.
The size of the magnets can also be customized in F360 (s. below).

Support my work

For non-Prusa parts and filaments, check out 3DJake (International, UK, Germany, France).
I'll get a small cut of any order you fulfil using these links (at no additional cost for you 😉).

If you want to support my work directly, you can buy me a coffee.

If you want to order a Prusa printer and earn some Prusameters (I will also get some), you can use my referral code "@Whity" at checkout or click one of the following links
(the code only works for the first order of each printer model):

Customization

The following variables can be easily customized using Fusion 360 parameters:

Depending on what you change, you may have to play around with the other values a bit.

For example, if you increase the depth to 90 mm, the 10° angle will cut of too much on the front side with the default height of 125 mm. In this case you can either increase the "TotalHeight" or reduce the “BottomAngle” to fix it.

If you go “much” higher or wider, you may have to adjust the design manually to prevent print issues.

Print Instructions

As I personally don't like visible glued-in magnets, the print has to be paused to insert the magnets at the correct layer heights (s. provided 3mf file).

Support is required here:

IMPORTANT (1): Make sure you insert all the magnets the correct way around, so that the magnets of the dispenser itself and the wall mount attract each other.

IMPORTANT (2): Depending on the printer you use, you may still have to add a little bit of superglue for the magnets of the dispenser, if your extruder has metal parts which may attract magnets. I had no issues with my MK4S (with brass nozzle!), but added some glue on my Prusa XL because of the metal parts of the tool changer (just to be on the safe side).

Mounting

I highly recommend Tesa Powerbond Indoor (50 kg/m) or Ultra Strong (100 kg/m) double sided tape. It's quite expensive, but absolutely worth it.

  1. Place the wall mount on the dispenser:

  2. Add the double sided tape (if you use a strong one, there's no need to use the full length):

  3. Remove the protective film of the tape and install it to the wall:

  4. Repeat for additional dispensers
  5. Remove the dispensers and press on the wall mount to make it stick better
