Have fun with this new discrete (as in discontinuous) fidget ring! If you like the standard fidget ring, the dual fidget ring, the uber fidget ring, but would like to have something more functional, this is it. The internal structure of the ring makes it stop only in 12 directions, showing a specific number on top. So you can use the ring to generate random numbers or as a replacement for a 12-sided dice. Also it feels quite different to spin and creates a little rattling noise when spinning.
In case you want to customize things, please install OpenSCAD on your own computer and follow these instructions to customize your ring.
Thanks go out to ixpatch for the idea to create a “dice ring”. He has great print-in-place designs to explore! Thanks also go to aubenc for the knurledFinishLib_v2.
If you could take a picture of an actual print, please “add a make” and attach the picture. - I am curious to see your uses in the wild! Please let me also know how you rate the design.
And see the “promotion video” of the other three fidget rings ;-)
Unfortunately, the uber fidget ring was deleted due to a design claim, so its no longer available.
If you like it, you can check out the original print-in-place fidget ring:

The filament swatch is nice to have an overview about your filaments available.
No support is needed. Other standard settings will be fine, like infill of 20%, layer height of .2mm, 2 perimeters.
At the end, turn the rings a few times to make them spin better.
