Jeep Wrangler Horizontal Clip-On Phone Holder

Vexanix did a great job on his design, but it wouldn't fit my phone with its case.

I have an iPhone 12 Pro that I always have either the Imperial Cog, Rebel Alliance, or SpaceX case with built in credit card holder that I designed. I had to resize his design to fit those cases. It also fits my iPhone 16e with those same cases. The new sizes should also fit a lot of other cases. They may not be as snug as with my case, but should still work.

While I was at it, I added some enhancements (see list in Differences section).

I also made some generic size parts for use without a case. The brackets can hold a phone, with or without a case, up to 13.743mm thick. Those files have “nc” at the beginning of the filename. The spacer is the same for either version.

If you use these, could you PLEASE post a make, or at least a comment, with the phone you have, case or no case, and which year/model Wrangler you have so others can see what else it works for. Thanks!

1. I lengthened the bottom a bit and added a lip to fit into the gap between the console and the radio. This holds the bottom down so it doesn't bounce around as mush. Also easier to take the phone out because the holder stays in place.
2. Made the sections that the phone slips into wider to accommodate my case. The left holder (lHorizontalHolder.stl) is 13.743mm wide and the right holder (rHorizontalHolder.stl) is 17.743mm wide. The case has a credit card holder built in, so that's why the right side is bigger.
3. I added a bottom piece that can either be glued in or friction fit. It is not a rectangle because of the different widths described above. It makes the whole thing more sturdy.
4. I recessed the spacer because it wouldn't fit with my case on. I also had to change the length of the spacer to fit my iPhone 12 Pro and case. It also fits my iPhone 16e case as well.
5. I added little thumb tabs to help remove the holder when it is secured into the space between the console and radio.
