It's tough! I shake-tested it. I bet no one drinks coffee this way.
Use Case:
If your precious mug's handle broke but has most of the bottom part still attached to the mug body
If, oddly by chance, you have the same 350-gram Hard Rock Cafe mug as in the cover page
If the distance between the lip of the mug down to the bottom handle is about 91mm to 95mm
Printing Tips:
Recommended material:
PETG (flexible during installation, rigid during use)
PLA (is fine, just note that it will be less flexible than PETG)
Recommended infill:
Gyroid at 20%
Perimeter walls:
2 is fine
3 or more (find the right balance between flexibility and rigidity for your mug)
A small organic support is needed as shown below…
Print Bed Orientation: as shown below…
How to Assemble and Disassemble:
To assemble…
Rest the bottom part of the handle on the bottom catch of the replacement handle
Hold the mug down on a sturdy flat surface
With your opposite hand, grasp the new handle firmly. Then with a little upwards tug, gently guide it to the lip of the mug.
Release the handle down as it now clasps the mug by itself
To disassemble…
Hold the mug down on a sturdy flat surface
With your opposite hand, grasp the handle firmly. Then with a little upwards tug, gently pull it away from the lip.
Tip: you may use the other hand to help push it out of the lip.
The design almost but didn't fit exactly what you needed?
