IKEA Styrbar Flush-Mount Wall Holder

This is a two-part wall holder for the IKEA Styrbar remote, designed to mount directly to a European-style flush electrical box (60mm screw spacing). It uses hidden magnets for a clean, secure snap-in fit.

The model consists of two main parts:

Mounting Bracket – This inner piece fits snugly into the Body and is designed to attach to a standard European flush-mounted electrical box using two screws (60mm apart).

Body – This outer shell holds the Styrbar remote and clamps around the Mounting Bracket, forming a stable structure that sits flush against the wall.

For added functionality and ease of use, the design supports 6mm diameter by 3mm height magnets, which press-fit into recesses over the screw heads. These magnets provide a satisfying snap-in magnetic hold when you press the Styrbar remote into place, keeping it secure yet easily removable.

The result is a minimalist, tool-free dock for the remote that maintains a clean aesthetic and makes use of existing wall box hardware—perfect for replacing an unused switch location or integrating with other smart devices.
