The model does not need to be mirrored. The parts are designed to fit together without being mirrored in the slicer.

Yes, it's cheaper to print these clips (if you already have the springs) than to buy new ones. Even cheap wooden clips are more expensive. Clips of similar quality cost about five times as much.
