The manual switch mechanism allows you to switching from aiming the air up at the underside of the bed to assist with fast chamber heating to switching to providing extra nozzle level curtain air cooling for when printing filaments like  PLA to provide extra cooling. 

Early tests indicate it works great in both modes
The fans were ~$10 each. 

Compatibility.
The mounting of the top dispersers is to the underside of the Y extrusions. Without modification the dispersers will only work with V-Core 3s that have the popular hybrid upgrade which repositions the linear rails on top of the Y extrusions. This design may also work on a V-Core 4 but I have not tested the clearance on the V-Core 4 XY joiners yet.

Printing
To make the top air disperser easier to print I modelled in custom supports rather than relied on slicer generated supports. 

Duct Length
The duct length in the attached files is good for a V-Core 300.
If you have a V-Core 3, 400 extend the top of the ducts by 100mm. 
If you have a Vcore 3 , 500 extend the top of the ducst by 200mm.

Mounting
The fans can be directly mounted to the side of your enclosure via there two mounting holes.
I am also modelling and optional floor mounting stand for them.
