Print-in-place Windowed Gridfinity Bin

Update 2025-07-25: I've added 2x2 options in addition to the 1x2 grid square bins! Let me know if you want more division options in these larger bins; currently I only made two variants.

When slicing this model, you must add a PAUSE to your print just before it prints the overhang on top of the window pocket. (The provided 3mf file should demonstrate this, if it works how I expect it to.) During the pause, carefully insert a standard 1"x3"x1mm microscope slide all the way down into the pocket, then resume! It will then print over the top, permanently embedding the glass slide into the print. This process negates any need for tape, glue, or post-print assembly.

Screw and magnet pockets are included in model, but you don't need to install any hardware into them if you don't want to. The glass adds a bit of extra heft that can help this design seat properly in a baseplate better than a standard all-plastic box might.

Because you'll be poking and prodding at it mid-print, I recommend printing on a surface with extra good adhesion, smooth plates and/or applying some glue stick or hair spray would be a great idea!
