This is a direct replacement for the Prusa CORE One spool holder but with a modification to hold PTFE tubes.

I made this instead of using others because I liked the Prusa geometry on the spool holder. I also wanted to make improvements to the fixturing and cosmetics of the tubes.

PETG is pretty slippery already, so this is good if you have spool material that sticks or binds. Before investing filament and time into printing this, test your spool on some PTFE vs PETG.

Which one do I print?

If you are unsure if you want to use a single or dual cutout, print the one with triple cutouts and you can experiment using both configurations without having to reprint.

Printing Instructions

Print in PETG using the 0.2mm structural preset.

Set “Seam Position” to “Rear”. Prusa was thoughtful enough to put an indent in the rear of the part to collect seams and have a nicer cosmetic finish so I recreated that.

Installing

To install each tube, insert one into the part and then retract it about 1mm. Cut it flush with the mounting surface, then push it fully into the part. Make sure it doesn't stick out past the mounting surface.

Mount in the same way that the stock part is mounted, reusing the existing hardware.
