This model is part of the Chunky Tool Wall Collection.  Collect 'em all!

This tray holds a Dewalt DW1369 29 piece drill bit set on an IKEA SKÅDIS pegboard.  I think Dewalt sells some other drill bit sets in the same metal box, and they probably fit too.

It has a slight forward tilt because my box is not quite flat on the bottom.  It has a color accent on the front because we are stylish nerds.  The parts are oriented so the color accent only requires 10 color changes.

I modeled this in Fusion 360.  I've included the CAD files in both .f3d and .STEP formats to make remixing easy.

How to Print and Assemble

This tray is assembled from three parts.  The bracket and the clip have no special printing instructions.  The slider needs to be printed with organic supports (also called tree supports) and can be printed in one color or two with an MMU.  PLA with the default settings is fine, but the model is optimized for 0.2mm layer height.

You can use the .3MF files, if your printer is similar enough to mine, or the .STL files.  You'll have to add color yourself if you use the STLs.

To assemble it, slide the slider into the bracket from the front.  Push it all the way in until front and back are flush.  The two tabs at the back will click into place.  Then push the clip in from the back.  That locks the tabs in place.  If the clip doesn't go in all the way, push the whole assembly down against a flat surface.  You may need to trim the parts slightly with a hobby knife.

This uses two SKÅDIS universal pegs.  I made mine in ASA for strength.  If you make your pegs in ASA, use my remix for a nice PLA raft.  If you're using PETG or PLA, you can use Kim-Jamosch's original pegs.
