I needed a case to house a computer only running syncthing to … sync…things.(https://syncthing.net/)

And so I made a case that fits a Pi4b, a thick 3.5in HDD, a SATA to USB-C powered adapter, a 40x10mm usb fan, a USB-A to USB-C adapter and all associated cabling.

  • Fits a 40mmx10mm fan (https://noctua.at/en/nf-a4x10-5v-pwm)
  • Fits up to a big 3.5HDD with a Startech powered SATA to USB-C adapter (https://www.startech.com/en-ca/hdd/usb312sat3) Part number: USB312SAT3.
  • Can also fit 2.5in HDD or SSD and probably Pi5.
  • Fan, while very quiet, maintains the Pi4 at around 50c under normal server load.
  • Hard drive temps will vary based on how tightly they fit the case
    • My Seagate ironwolf 18tb stays around 45c when reading and comparing data.
  • Cover has 3 bolt holes sized for m2 socket head BUT will hold tightly in place with friction

(Defects in the brown-beige version in the picture due to layer shift of my own fault)

Designed with Solidworks, hit me up for modified versions.

N.B. Purple Mcdonald Minecraft thing not included
