Voron 2.4 PUG Umbilical

This is a Voron 2.4 rear umbilical mounting solution that uses fbeauKmi's PUG (parametric umbilical gland) instead of the commonly used PG7 cable glands.

The motivation behind PUG Umbilical was to facilitate easier maintenance.
PUG is two piece (and therefore an openable cable gland) which allows for easy access to the umbilical wire without the need to remove connectors or to pull wire all the way through.

Using a printable PUG also removes the need to buy a PG7 and allows you to customize the dimension to your exact needs and print it in the perfect color match for your printer.

 

In addition to PUG, this variation also adds a glue less holding point for a JST 2.54mm Connector to allow for easy replacement of the microswitch and allows for disconnecting the whole module for maintenance as well.

 

Please Note:

This uses a modified PUG with a shortened interface.

The modified parametric PUG Model is included so you can generate matching PUGs of any dimensions if needed.

2x M3x8mm BHCS

2x M3x5x4 Heat Insert (Voron standard)

 

This is a complete remodel based on Kotvic's Voron 2.4 Rear Umbilical,
and modified to work with a variation of fbeauKmi's Parametric Umbilical Gland.

It also reuses the endstop bumper of Kotvic's original design.
