I have an addiction to the honeycomb storage wall and I needed a way to mount one to the Centauri Carbon. Here it is, with the walls already sectioned to fit on even small printers, they fit together to take up a majority of the space on the side panels. The custom inserts I have designed were a solution for the mounting screws on the side panels not being exactly ‘hsw’ widths apart.
You will need
- 4x honeycombwall_4x8
- 4x honeycomwall_4x9
- 4x off center inserts
- 4x M3x10 screws
- 4x M3 washers
Instructions:
- Print each section of the honeycomb wall, the 4x8 tiles will be stacked on top of each other, same with the 4x9, and then the entire section of 4x8s is attached to the 4x9s (The total sections are 16 hexes down, and 17 across). I superglued them together on all the edges.
- Print the inserts at 0.2 mm layer height. There will be an interface layer for the bridging, take a knife and run that through the screw holes to remove it.
- Install 4 inserts in each corner of the HSW wall. Install each screw with a washer into one corner of the wall at a time. What worked best for me was doing the top left corner, top right corner, then wiggling the top around to align the bottom left corner, and then the bottom right.
- You can also install all of your screws part way in the side panel and then attempt to push the center hole in each corners insert into the screw (the center is larger than even the socket OD on the screws I used), then wiggle around to align each one as you go.
Thanks for checking out my model! Hope it helps!

The author remixed this model.
Differences of the remix compared to the original
I cut the HSW wall into sections, and remixed the blank inserts to allow for mounting screws off the center of the insert.
