TH3P4G3 eGPU case enclosure

Deutsche Version unten.

Parts required

• Adapter board TH3P4G3 with ATX bracket
• GPU with max 3 slots height. Length is not relevant, you can print as many externders as you need
• ATX power supply
• 4 screws to mount the power supply
• m3 countersunk screws
• m3 heat threaded insert OD 4.5mm

Parts to print

• Print with a heat resistant material like PETG
• Print all plates execpt for the bottom plates (top plate as you prefer) without top and bottom layers and choose honeycomb infill (in Cura you might have to install an extension. Google it). Configure the infill structure to have sufficient width (i think i chose 3 lines)

There are multiple Versions of the case. The only combination i used is the case with a length of 299mm + one 66mm extension. All others should work, but i never printed them and just changed some parameters in fusion to upload them here.

If a filename contains “- x times” print the part x times :)

needed - Main Part

• From the “main case” folder print all files directly in the folder.
• Choose the “main case - 199mm” or “main case - 299mm” version depending on what your printer can print. 299mm is preferrable.

For the 199mm version your power supply shouldn't be longer than ~190mm, otherwise it might not fit.

optional - Extensions

Print these if you need a longer case. I only used one extension part, but “stacking” multiple ones should work fine. Printing longer ones is preferred above printing multiple ones.

Per extension print

• All files directly in the “extension” folder.
• Depending on the lengh you need, print all files in the “extension - <your length>” folder.

optional - Mount

I mounted the gpu hanging under my desk. It only fits the combination of the 299mm case + 66mm extension. With the provided “table” parts there will be 3cm above the gpu.

• Print all files in the “mount” folder.

Assembly

1. Mount ATX bracket to adapter board
2. Mount adapter board to base plate
3. Install PSU
4. Connect adapter board power
5. Install GPU
6. If required: assemble base plate extenders
7. Install the heat inserts using a soldering iron
8. Assemble case except bottom plate
   1. hold the parts together and then slide in the connection pieces
   2. do the back part last
9. Screw the case parts to the base plate

Benötigte Teile

• GPU mit max. 3 Slot Höhe. Länge ist irrelevant, es können beliebig viele Verlängerungen gedruckt werden
• ATX-Netzteil
• 4 Schrauben zur Befestigung des Netzteils
• M3-Senkkopfschrauben
• M3 Schmelzgewinde, Außendurchmesser 4,5 mm

Drucken

• Mit einem Hitzebeständigen Material wie PETG drucken
• Alle Platten außer die Bodenfläche (Oberseite nach eigener Präferenz) ohne Top und Bottom Layer drucken und als Infill Pattern Honeycomb wählen (für Cura ist vermutlich ein extra Plugin nötig um Honeycomb zu unterstützen → Google). Das Infill sollte mit mehreren Linien Breite gedruckt werden (ich habe glaube 3 Linien gewählt)

Es gibt mehrere Versionen des Gehäuses. Die einzige Kombination, die ich verwendet habe, ist das Gehäuse mit 299 mm Länge + eine 66 mm Verlängerung. Alle anderen sollten funktionieren, aber ich habe sie nie gedruckt und nur einige Parameter in Fusion geändert, um sie hier hochzuladen.

Wenn ein Dateiname “- x times” enthält, das Teil x-mal drucken :)

• Wähle je nach Drucker die Version „main case - 199mm“ oder „main case - 299mm“. 299 mm ist bevorzugt.

Für die 199mm Version sollte das Netzteil nicht länger als ~190mm sein, andernfalls passt es möglicherweise nicht.

Optional – Verlängerungen

Drucken, wenn ein längeres Gehäuse benötigt wird. Ich habe nur ein Verlängerungsteil verwendet, aber das aneinanderreihen mehrerer sollte problemlos funktionieren. Längere Verlängerungsteile zu drucken ist besser als mehrere kurze.

Pro Verlängerung drucken:

• Alle Dateien direkt im Ordner „extension“.
• Je nach benötigter Länge alle Dateien im Ordner „extension - <Länge>“.

Optional – Halterung

Ich habe die GPU hängend unter meinem Schreibtisch montiert. Die Halterung passt nur zur Kombination aus 299 mm Gehäuse + 66 mm Verlängerung. Mit den mitgelieferten „table“-Teilen sind 3 cm Abstand über der GPU.

• Alle Dateien im Ordner „mount“ drucken.

Zusammenbau

1. ATX-Halterung am Adapter-Board befestigen
2. Adapter-Board an Grundplatte montieren
3. Netzteil einbauen
4. Stromversorgung des Adapter-Boards anschließen
5. GPU installieren
6. Falls nötig: Grundplattenverlängerungen montieren
7. Schmelzgewinde mit einem Lötkolben einsetzen
8. Gehäuseteile außer Bodenplatte zusammenbauen
   1. Teile zusammenhalten und dann die Verbindungselemente einschieben
   2. Rückteil zuletzt montieren
9. Gehäuseteile an Grundplatte schrauben
