Used to turn the Harbor Breeze LED garden light solar panel into a Meshtastic solar powered node.
This mounting arm allows you to use the original case without any modification. The antenna is held vertically by the arm no matter what angle you choose for the solar panel.
When printing these models, the rotation block should be positioned with the “teeth” up.
Note that to use the rotation control block you have to print the arm file in this model as there is a mating feature. Note that when you assemble this you need to fit the two pieces together.
The rotation block can be glued to the arm, or you can just compression hold it when you tighten the pivot bolt. I think it depends on whether you plan to adjust the solar panel angle often. If you are just doing it once or twice, then there's really no need to glue it.
The author remixed this model.
The most significant change is the addition of a round rotation control block. The previous design would easily rotate out of position.
Secondly, a hex inset is added so that the antenna connector does not rotate in the mount when tightening the nut.
